Jack Johnson – Sleep Through The Static

Jack Johnson has done it again. The surfer/ song-writer released his 5th album on February 1, 2008.  This album definitely belongs on your iPod or Zune playlists or pick a new song for your Myspace or Facebook song.  This album is a must have in your Jack collection.  The former pro-surfer has created another album with tracks that could make up an entire greatest hits CD.  His mellow-go with-the-flow melodies and positive vibes keep this album a top seller.  His peaceful voice allows you to really listen to his music and always puts you in a good mood.  You will listen to this album over and over without it ever getting dull.

All of the songs were written by Jack Johnson and this was the first album produced outside of Hawaii.  Jack Hody Johnson was born on Oahu, Hawaii and started receiving music fame on his debut album Brushfire Fairytales.  Jack has always been a “respect the planet” kind of guy and this is evident on this album.  The Jack Johnson website states that the Sleep Through The Static album was recorded using 100% solar energy.  No wonder his songs have so much power.

When you have some time, view video and audio clips of Sleep Through The Static on YouTube, but you will not get the whole essence of the album unless you purchase the entire thing. Listen to Jack on YouTube. You can also check out Jack Johnson’s free Myspace page and hear some of his new tracks. Listen to Jack on Myspace when you use the Search tab, Display Name function.

Some of my favorite tracks include Hope, Angel, If I Had Eyes, What You Thought You Need, and Monsoon.
